What is a tendon?
A tendon connects muscle to bone, helping movement.
Why do tendons get injured?
Tendons can get hurt from sudden stress just most commonly they develop over months to years through overuse during activities.
How is tendon rehab done?
Rehabilitation a combination of initial rest and treatment followed by a program of progressive loading,

How long does recovery take?
Can I prevent tendon injuries?
Yes, warming up and cooling down with exercise are advisable and avoiding significant changes to exercise intensity such as deciding to run a 10km with no prior training or moving from a 50kg deadlift to a 100kg deadlift in a short space of it. Taking general health into account is very important too! Tendon injuries are more common in those with poor health, overweight, smoking or excess alcohol consumption and with certain medications.
